This tournament will be primarily aimed at newer players, and will be a great way for them to hone their skills on an easier question set (although older players are welcome to help staff). We hope to attract teams from across the state, and possibly some out-of-state teams as well.
In order to ensure a level playing field, all players must meet the following requirements: * be in their first or second year of playing multi-subject pyramidal quizbowl outside of the MSHSAA State Series, AND * have never played in HSNCT, PACE NSC, or NASAT
Tournament Rules * 20 tossups and bonuses per game * no computational math * 15 point powers * no negs * no bouncebacks on bonuses
Format * 16-team field with the possibility that this might expand * Bracketed round robin prelims * Re-bracketed round robin playoffs * Four-team superplayoffs and final if needed
